KIS - Kangaroo Island Spirits

New Years on Kangaroo Island - Day 2

What a way to finish off the tour day on New Years Eve than a visit to KIS - Kangaroo Island Spirits, for some tastings.  The boutique distillery is run by Jon and Sarah Lark and all liqueurs and spirits are handmade using local and native ingredients such as wild fennel, ligurian honey and native juniper berries.  It's difficult to choose what my favourite tasting was, but the KIS Honey & Walnut liqueur poured over ice-cream was to die for and the Pink Lily Strawberry liqueur with Champagne was beautifully refreshing, but the KIS Wild Gin was just something else.
